First thing, don't just post your MSN address into the chatroom. Not unless you want a whole bunch of spam being dent to your inbox! Secondly, I would only give out an IM (MSN, Yahoo etc) address to somebody that I trust. Yes you can block and delete people from these lists but after one conversation you can get peoples IP addresses and for those that know what they're doing, more.

Right, PMs. Across the top of the yuvu pages, under the adverts, you should see a tab that says "Private Messages". Click on that and select the "New Post" button. Type in the username of the person you want to send the PM to or use the "Find a username" facility. Type your message in the main body and click the "Submit" button.

I hope this helps
Glenn

We do politely ask chat room users to NOT post their MSN (or any other IM) addy in chat.

1) It does open up the individual to spam, unfortunately we cannot prevent people from abusing that
2) It's something that should be given out to individuals in private
3) It isn't adding to the discussion in the chatroom, it is taking away from it and thus spam in itself.

That said, only go into a private conversation with an individual you want to trust. There are plenty of great, trusting individuals here who are up for some private fun, but usually you get to know these individuals in the public chat rooms first. It's up to you to decide if a conversation off the site on MSN or another network is safe to do. There are plenty of people here who will not leave the site for such private conversations not only for their own safety but for their computer and network security as well.
